# How to Register for Beginner's Paradise

> Register for free on Devpost to join FirstCommit: Beginner's Paradise. Follow these steps to sign up solo or with a team of up to 6 members.

Registration for Beginner's Paradise is completely free and takes just a few minutes. You will register through Devpost, the same platform where you will later submit your project.

    Visit the official hackathon page at [firstcommit.devpost.com](https://firstcommit.devpost.com).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Register">
    Find the **Register** button on the Devpost page and click it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create or log in to Devpost">
    If you do not already have a Devpost account, create one. If you do, simply log in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your registration">
    Follow any on-screen prompts to confirm your entry for Beginner's Paradise.
  </Step>

## Registering as a team

Every team member must complete the registration steps above individually using their own Devpost account. When it is time to submit your project, one person will create the submission on Devpost and add teammates by their Devpost email addresses.

  Teams can include up to 6 members. All members must register on Devpost, and all members must contribute meaningfully to the project.

* **Registration opened:** August 10, 2026
* **Submissions open:** August 21, 2026
* **Submissions due:** October 1, 2026
